Police are looking for a gang that shot dead a police officer yesterday in a robbery incident in Embakasi. The gang had carjacked a car and was escaping in it when they bumped into police officers who were on patrol. They shot dead one of the officers and later escaped into Mukuru slums.

Elsewhere a night guard was this morning shot dead by suspected thugs in a robbery incident on a home in Runda. Police say a gang was trying to force their way into a private residence when the guard raised alarm prompting them to shoot him. Police are hunting them down.
