Nigeria: Constituents Declare Senator Goje Wanted, Seat Vacant

Still grappling with his N5 billion suit with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the immediate past Governor of Gombe State who is now a serving senator representing Gombe Central Senatorial zone, Alhaji Muhammad Danjuma Goje, has been declared missing, wanted and his seat vacant by stakeholders of his senatorial district.

According to Alhaji Ahmed Yayari, the Chief of Staff in the Gombe Government House who spoke Wednesday in Dadin Kowa on behalf of the stakeholders during a political rally in preparation for next weekend's Local Government election, all the required 500 signatures needed for the senators recall is ready saying, "Senator Danjuma Goje is therefore declared missing, wanted and his seat in the senate has also been declared vacant".
