Zimbabwe: Peter Ndlovu Charged

FORMER Warriors captain Peter Ndlovu was yesterday charged with two counts of culpable homicide for causing his elder brother Adam and passenger Nomqhele Tshili's deaths in an accident in Victoria Falls in December last year.

Peter (39) of 7 Lawrence Street in Parklands, Bulawayo, whose business address was given as MAP Brothers, Corner 4th Avenue and Fort Street briefly appeared before Victoria Falls resident magistrate Mr Archibald Dingana. He was remanded out of custody to March 20. Ndlovu, who is no longer using crutches, sat calmly in the dock as area public prosecutor Ms Namatirai Ngwashi addressed the court.

He was not asked to plead when he was remanded on his own cognisance. The trial was postponed because his lawyer Mr Harrison Nkomo advised the court he would not be able to attend the session.
