Zimbabwe: Hough Cairns Through

MICKY Hough will join professional golfer Ryan Cairns at the Dimension Data pro-am after he made it through from the qualifiers at Montagu Golf Course, Fancourt in South Africa yesterday. Fromer Borrowdale Brooke member Hough who played more Sunshine Tour events last year was back to try his luck at the fourth event of the season after resting in the two last outings.

The Zimbabwean did not disappoint as he managed to finish tied on third position after an impressive three-under-par 69 after the single round.

Hough a seasoned campaigner managed to book a place in the 10 slots that were reserved for pre-qualifers with two-bogeys, five birdies and 11 pars.

Hough's compatriot 28-year-old Ryan Cains is exempted after he won his maiden Sunshine Tour title by capturing the Vodacom Origins of Golf event at Simola Country Club last year.
