Angola: Three New Cases of Sleeping Sickness Recorded

Luanda — New cases of sleeping illness were recorded throughout January 2013, at a health centre in Luanda's Viana Municipalty, Angop has learnt.

The centre's director, Amadeu Dala, said there were attended patients from Icolo e Bengo (Luanda), Damba (Uije) and Cambambe (Kwanza-Norte province).

The mentioned three cases are part of the 37 analysed in suspected patients, during the consultations in that centre.

The centre attends patients suffering from various illnesses, due to the fall in sleeping sickness over the last years, caused the fight against the tsetse fly.
