Morocco: Environmental Protection - Mohammed VI Foundation Goes Into High Gear

Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) yesterday signed in Nairobi a Memorandum of Understanding to promote cooperation for the development of joint projects related to environmental education and sustainable development.

The signing took place following the plenary session of the 27th session of UNEP's Governing Council, in the presence of Princess Lalla Hasna, President of the Foundation and its guest of honor.

The agreement is intended to provide a bilateral cooperation framework to pursue their common objectives through environmental awareness, NGO participation, and involvement of the private and public actors in environmental protection. (Article in French)
