With a month away from the Ivory Coast game, Gambia has lined up a friendly match with the Maurabitounes of Mauritania in preparation, Foroyaa Sports has learnt.
The Gambia local-based selection has remained inactive for sixty-three days since a one-all test match with the Stable Antelopes of Angola December 16th, last year.
The Mauritanian contingent will jet into Banjul February 24th for the tie, according to a dispatch from the Normalisation Committee of the Gambia Football Association.
Mauritania visit will take a shape of two international test matches: the first billed for Wednesday 27th with the second slated for 2nd March.
The games are part of the two sides' warm-up for their respective qualifier campaign.
Mancini and charges face Ivory Coast in March in Abidjan - a tie many Gambian fans are less hopeful for snatching a point.
