The True Brothers Association (TBA) has elected a new leadership for the next two years through a free, fair and democratic process following intensive campaigning.
The TBA, an intellectual and social organization, on Saturday, February 16, 2013, held elections with Jefferson M. Toulue acquiring 50 votes against 15 for runner-up Hilary T. Moore and Charles Teddy Cephas, who got 9 votes for the race of the chairmanship. Mustapha Waritay and Mark Allison became Co-Chairman and Secretary-General respectively through white ballots.
In his victory speech, Mr. Toulue lauded TBA members for the confidence reposed in him and promised to perform to the best of his ability.
Placing serious emphasis on the need for reconciliation after the elections, the incoming Chairman called on losers of the process to join the efforts of moving the association to greater heights.
Meanwhile, the TBA Chairman-elect has appointed several persons to spearhead the inaugural ceremony, which is slated tentatively for March 15, 2013. The inaugural committee comprises Atty. Herbert Glasgow, Chairman; Cllr. Dexter Tiah, Co-Chairman; Julu M. Johnson, Jr., Secretary, Pepci Yekeh, Layee Jabateh, and Francis Mula Kofa, all members.
