Namibia: Double Murder Suspect in Court

MATHIAS Kalunga kaShindinge (42) from Ongha village in the Ohangwena Region has appeared in the Ohangwena Magistrate's Court on two murder charges.

He is accused of killing his wife, Selma Nalooliwa Imbili (30), and her lover, Matheus Fransisco Tavares Juye (39), on February 14 at Omafo.

He was not asked to plead and the case was postponed to May 8 for further police investigation. He will remain in police custody.

It is reported that kaShindinge found his wife in a car with Juye, whom he suspected to be her boyfriend.

He allegedly stopped them and first shot Juye, who was driving the car, and then Imbili in the back while she was trying to run away. Both died on the spot.
