Angola: MAPTSS Runs Workshop On National Qualification Framework

Luanda — The Ministry of Public Administration, Work and Social Security (MAPTSS) will hold between 21 and 22 February a workshop on national framework of qualifications - opportunities, challenges and lessons.

This is expressed in note delivered Wednesday to Angop.

The source says that the workshop aims to enshrine a training offer of quality and ensure its certification that meet the needs of companies and workers, with a view to raising the levels of skills and innovative capacity and competitiveness of the economy.

One of the objectives is to reflect on the concepts and approaches on national framework of qualification and analyse the main experiences toward the implementation of national framework of qualification in other countries.

This enables share information on the reform process of professional training in Angola and know the regional framework of qualification of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC).

The workshop gathers managers of human resources of the companies, technicians and officials of national department of professional technical education of Education Ministry, social partners, officials and technicians of MAPTSS.
