Angola: Defence Ministry Accredits New Attaché of Cuba

Luanda — The Ministry of National Defence (MINDEN) accredited Wednesday the Colonel Lazaro Triana Bonilla as Defence Attaché at the Cuban Embassy in Angola.

The ceremony was chaired by the Director of International Relations of this ministerial department, General José Luis Caetano Higino de Sousa in Luanda.

Addressing the event, witnessed by the officers of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) and other guests, the Cuban official, pledged to continue the ongoing work, under the cooperation in the defence field between the two countries.

Colonel Lazaro Bonilla was born on December 18, 1954 and joined the Revolutionary Forces in June 1973.

He attended the course in radio engineer-technical means in Russia.

On his military career, the Colonel was head of weapon department, professor of air defence weapon and chief of engineer of self-propelling installation battery at the tank brigade.
