Adeyemi College of Education has conferred erstwhile Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Professor Mahmood Yakubu with its fellowship award.
In a statement made available to Daily Trust the award ceremony was alongside the 32nd convocation ceremony held in the school over the weekend and 2,196 students were graduated.
Prof. Yakubu was conferred with the award for Educational Development and Leadership.
Provost of the college, Prof Adeyemi Idowu, said the recognition given to the former TETFund boss was based on his transformational efforts in education.
According to him, the college project which was commissioned during the convocation ceremony was "one of the many great contributions made during his tenure at TETFund."
In his response, as a representative of the awardees, Prof Yakubu said the award was not just a privilege but also a responsibility.
