Gambia: NDMA Moved to the Office of the President

The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) is now brought under the purview of the Office of the President, a press release from State House revealed.

According to the release, this development took effect on Wednesday, 20th February, 2013. "The move is to ensure more transparency, efficient coordination and management of disasters, and equitable distribution of assistance to affected victims, the country all over," the release concluded.
