Nigeria: Kaduna Reaffirms Ban On Bush Burning, Hunting

Kaduna — The Kaduna State government yesterday reaffirmed that the ban on hunting and bush burning in the state is still in force.

The state government in a statement by the Commissioner of Information and Home Affairs, Alhaji Saidu Adamu, said the reminder became necessary in order protect lives and property of citizens and the environment.

"Security agencies have been put on alert to check defaulters. Therefore, anyone caught hunting or burning bush will be punished within provisions of the law," he said.

He called on the people to be law abiding and report any suspicious movement to the nearest security agency.
