Egypt: Natural Gas Prices Rise to U.S.$6 for Cement, Brick Plants

Prime Minister Hisham Qandil issued on Wednesday 21/2/2013 a decree raising the prices of natural gas from $4 to $6 for one million British thermal units for cement and bricks plants.

Meanwhile, Industry and Foreign Trade Minister Hatem Saleh said Wednesday the new price of a diesel ton is LE1,500. He denied reports claiming the price has reached LE2,280. The minister said the government is stepping up measures to monitoring diesel outlets across the country.
