Egypt: Presidential Decree Calling for House of Representatives Elections

In exclusive statements to al-Ahram, Presidential Legal Counselor Fouad Gadalla said that President Mohamed Morsi will issue a Republican decree in the coming few hours in which he will call on voters to cast their votes in the House of Representatives elections.

He said the elections were scheduled to be held in late April or early May, but the ruling of the Supreme Constitutional Court describing 10 articles of the political rights law as unconstitutional has prompted delay of elections to the middle or late next May.
