Gambia: Nyokoyorr Fc Clinch Gunjur Knockout Title

Nyokoyorr FC have been crowned champions of the 2012-2013 Gunjur Knockout title following their slender 1-0 victory over Kulukochi United FC in a tightly-contested game played at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field at the weekend.

Nyokoyorr FC opened the score through midfielder Sheriff Touray in the dying minutes of the game to earn them their first trophy in the Gunjur Nawettan since making their debut seven seasons ago.

As champions of the knockout, Nyokoyorr were crowned with a giant trophy and an undisclosed cash prize, whilst Kulukochi United FC received an undisclosed cash prize as runners-up.

Muhammed Jabang of Kulukochi United received D500 as the leading goal scorer for the 2012-2013 Gunjur nawettan with 5 goals on his belt.

NAS FC fan club received D500 as the most disciplined fan club in the Gunjur Nawettan 2012-2013.

Alieu Darboe received D1, 000 as the most committed committee member, while Kulukochi United received D1, 000 as the most disciplined team in the 2012-2013 Gunjur Nawettan seasons.
