Kenya: Eldoret Varsity to Build Modern Sports Complex

UNIVERSITY of Eldoret has announced plans to build a modern sports complex at the institution.

The university will incorporate sports science in its curriculum after the sports complex has been established. Acting vice chancellor prof. Elijah Biamah said the university, which was granted its charter a week ago will be scaling the heights in sports as well. "We will be setting up a modern sports complex that will be able to train students in various sporting activities.

Biamah said the region has been a training ground for several top cream athletes hence the need to set up the complex. He said the new course will focus on sports management and sports personnel lifestyle among other qualities. Biamah also said the institution will upgrade the training facilities at the pavilion where athletes' currently train. "We want to make this ground a sports hub by availing necessary facilities for our athletes," he said.
