Eritrea: Melebso Semi-Urban Center Witnessing Growing Business Activities

Melebso — The inhabitants of Melebso semi-urban center, Anseba region, said that growing business activities are being witnessed in the locality.

They further indicated that they have become beneficiaries of educational, health, potable water supply, telephone, transport and electricity supply facilities.

Among the residents, Mr. Saleh Ejel, Mr. Mohammed Osman, Ms. Saedia Mohammed, Ms. Hasina Idris and Ms. Saedia Mohammed-Ali explained that the market in the semi-urban center hosts merchandizes from Seber, Erota, Himbol-Kechech and Shekha-Wegriet areas. They further pointed out that the popularization of community-based style of living has made visible impact in the development of the locality, besides enhancing women's role in socio-economic activities.

There exist more than 10 grain mills, merchandizing shops, 16 cafeterias and a bakery in Melebso semi-urban center, which is located 60 Km. north of Keren city.
