Uganda/Liberia: Liberia to Host Cranes in World Cup Qualifier

The Liberian football federation has fixed their 2014 World Cup qualifier against Uganda on March 24.

In a communication by Fufa spokesman Rogers Mulindwa, Liberia also confirmed the venue as Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports complex stadium. Mulindwa adds that players will be summoned next week to start non-residential training in preparation for the tie.

"The technical committee is following players in Fufa Super League games," he says. "So, we expect a strong team team."

In their most recent game, The Cranes held Rwanda 2-2 in a friendly in Kigali. After two rounds in the four-nation group, Uganda currently lie second with two points, two behind leaders Senegal. Angola is the other team in the group.

Meanwhile, Fufa is confident Bobby Williamson will stay despite recent links to Kenya.
