Kenya: Ignore Party Euphoria, Kirui Says

Bomet governor candidate Sammy Kirui has asked residents to vet candidates on an individual level and shun voting along party lines.

"We should not gamble with the future of our county by electing leaders whose agenda for the county is not well defined," he said.

Kirui told residents not to adopt the "six-piece" voting pattern being pushed by URP candidates in the region saying the move was retrogressive. Kirui was speaking while campaigning in Bomet town yesterday.
