Sudan: 'Allergy Epidemic' in West Darfur Camp

Abu Surouj — The population of camp Abu Surouj in Sirba locality, West Darfur, is complaining about an allergy epidemic and the shortage in appropriate medicine to counter it.

According to the displaced, the outbreak emerged about one month ago and some of the affected people are burning grass and using its ashes as treatment.

They told Radio Dabanga some people scratch themselves until they bleed.

Abu Surouj's residents are calling upon state health authorities and organizations to help them control the disease.
