Kuito — The Interior Minister, Ângelo de Barros Tavares, analysed on Thursday in the city of Kuito, central Bié province, with the consultative council of the local interior delegation the situation of illegal diamonds exploration and immigration.
The participants also reviewed the state of crime, prison and road accident, as well as the effects of natural calamities in the region.
During his three-day stay in Bié province, the minister will visit the construction works of the Unit of Rapid Intervention Police (PIR), Kuito prison, provincial police command and facilities of SAFRI-Commercial Company.
Angop also learnt that the minister will visit the interior delegation, SME facilities and premises of the Civil Protection and Fire Services, among others.
The official will also visit Kunhinga district, to check the local police command and lay the cornerstone for the construction of Kuquema prison in Kuito.
