Namibia: AWC - Namibia Ready to Host Africa

The Namibia Football Association (NFA) president, John Muinjo has said everything is in place for the successful hosting of the 2014 Africa Women Championships.

This would be the first time the country is hosting the prestigious event and Muinjo has vowed that the association would leave no stone unturned as they plan to host, organise and deliver a successful Championship next year.

The NFA president hopes that the tournament would serve the purpose of elevating the game of women football to a higher level in the country.

"This is our chance as an association to show we are very delighted to present something beautiful and very huge for all coming," he told the Namibian.

"As custodians of the beautiful game, we support the FIFA campaign Live Your Goals, which aims to encourage girls and young women to play football and we will use this avenue to show them that their dreams can come true."
