Nigeria: Adamawa Governor, Nyako, Sacks Four Advisers

Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State on Thursday dismissed four of his special advisers. The Press Secretary to the Governor, Mai Jama'a Adamu, confirmed the development in Yola.

He did not give any reason for the action but said that the dismissal was with immediate effect. Mr. Adamu gave the names of the affected officers as Mustafa Saidu, Patricia Yakubu, Arabi Umar and Alexander Raymond.

Meanwhile, the governor has approved the appointments of three new special advisers. They are Lutu Arin, Celine Dammori and Joshua Kallamu.

Mr. Adamu said the portfolios of the new aides would be announced later.
