Nigeria: Nyako Sacked Four Advisers

Gov. Murtala Nyako of Adamawa on Thursday dismissed four of his special advisers.

Alhaji Mai Jama'a Adamu, the Press Secretary to the governor, confirmed the development to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yola.

He did not give any reason for the action but he told NAN that the dismissal was with immediate effect.

Adamu gave the names of the affected officers as Dr Mustafa Saidu, Mrs Patricia Yakubu, Malam Arabi Umar and Mr Alexander Raymond.

Meanwhile, the governor has approved the appointments of three new special advisers.

They are Mr Lutu Arin, Mrs Celine Dammori and Pastor Joshua Kallamu.

Adamu said the portfolios of the new aides would be announced later. NAN
