Upon the orders of the Superintendent of Margibi County John Z. Boway, no one is allowed to sell a piece of land within the proximity of the Township of Schelfine in Lower Margibi County.

His decision stemmed from confusion arising from the sale of land in the area, he told this paper in an interview in Kakata.

According to Superintendent Boway the issue of illegal land sale was resulting into confusion in the Schefiline Township area, adding that it was a major concern that has potential to also lead to chaos if not handled.

He made particular mention of the recent land dispute between eight residents of the township, including a lady indentified as Pastor Cyril Taylor Cooper and many others over ownership of twenty five acres of land, saying such situation was so alarming and needed quick intervention from the county authority.

Besides putting halt to the sale of land in the area, he has gone ahead with steps aimed at addressing the issue.

He told this that the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has been appointed as chair to settle the disputed land issue.

It can be recalled recently that Pastor Cyril Taylor Cooper and other residents of said community got into argument and counter argument on the ownership of the land something which has drawn the intention of the county administration.

Supt. Boway added that residents of the community could go ahead with their construction, but has placed a stay order on the sale of land within the township until the matter can be resolved.

The land in question according to the Superintendent is where the SDA Church has acquired a portion to construct the Adventist University.

The Church is said to be in trouble as renegotiation documents proved that the Church did not acquire the land from its proper owners.
