Tunisia: Ennahdha Nominates Four Names for Post of Prime Minister, Néjib Gharbi Says

Tunis — Ennahdha movement has not yet decided on its candidate to the post of Prime Minister, said the movement's chargé of communication Néjib Gharbi on Thursday.

Four names are on the candidates' list. They are Ali Larayedh, Mohamed Ben Salem, Noureddine Bhiri and Abdellatif Mekki, the official says.

He added that the Shura Council will convene at 6 p.m. to decide.

Ennahdha's four candidates have held ministerial portfolios in the outgoing government headed by Ennahdha Movement Secretary-General Hamadi Jebali.

Mr. Jebali presented his resignation to President Moncef Marzouki on February 19.
