Angola: Kuale Commune Gains New Hospital

Calandula — A commune hospital was inaugurated last Thursday in Kuale locality, in Cacuso Municipality, northern Malanje Province, by the provincial governor, Norberto dos Santos, in the ambit of the programme of municipalization of health services.

With a ten-bed capacity, the new health unit includes a maternity ward, vaccination rooms and a pharmacy.

Initially, the hospital will be working with two nurses in each shift.

Besides the hospital, the governor also inaugurated the headquarters of Kuale commune administration and a two-bed-room house for the commune administrator and drinkable water distribution system.

Meanwhile, the provincial governor guaranteed that in the coming days six new nurses will be recruited to reinforce the new hospital.
