Ethiopia: Govt Seeks to Resolve Transport Issue

Various alternatives have been examined by the government of Ethiopia to solve the transportation problem of Addis Abeba. Light city rail transit service is among the alternatives studied and which is now in the second phase of implementation.

The railway project which stretches mainly from Meskel Square to Kaliti began six months ago with the dismantling of an old railway metal track, as seen in the picture, around Gotera Interchange.
