Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki arrived in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday (February 20th) for a two-day visit, Tanzania's The Guardian reported.
Kibaki was received by a Tanzanian delegation including President Jakaya Kikwete, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Bernard Membe and Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Meki Sadik, as well as Kenyan High Commissioner to Tanzania Mutinda Mutiso.
Kibaki and Kikwete will discuss bilateral co-operation and review progress made under the framework of the Joint Commission for Co-operation, according to Kenya's Daily Nation.
Kibaki is also expected to meet elders from the Dar es Salaam region and visit a local prison before inaugurating Old Bagamoyo Road, which will be renamed after him to strengthen ties between the two countries.
