Nigeria: Reps Want FG to Address Waste Problem

The House of Representatives has mandated the committee on Environment to liaise with the federal ministry of environment and National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency, NESREA, to provide detailed, well-documented format that is functional in a public private partnership that will address the volume of abandoned scraps, create jobs and generate revenue within the country.

The lawmakers made this known while adopting the resolutions of a motion on the need to clear abandoned scrap on land and in water during plenary yesterday.
