Tunisia: Outgoing Government Not Entitled to Discuss IMF Loan Agreement, Says CPR NCA Member

Tunis — "The outgoing government is not entitled to discuss at the cabinet meeting a loan agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF)" said Friday Ikbel Masdaa, member of the Congress for the Republic (CPR) party at the National Constituent Assembly (NCA).

Speaking at the plenary session, she warned against examining this agreement without notifying the constituent assembly and urged the NCA committee to intervene urgently. NCA Deputy-speaker Meherzia Laabidi called for checking this issue immediately with the Prime Ministry.
