Angola: Parents Urged to Encourage Children to Like Reading

Saurimo — The archbishop of the eastern Lunda Sul province, Don José Manuel Imbamba, appealed on Wednesday in Saurimo to parents and guardians to encourage their children to cultivate liking of reading so that the minors may be well trained and informed citizens in the future.

The cleric said so during the handing over acto f books and school materials in the library of the central hospital of Lunda Sul and São João Calábria sheltering home, in a projet of Catoca mining corporate dubbed "A book one child and many hospitals ".

According to him, these books will encourage the children to have the liking of reading and help them to grow spiritually and psychologically.

Don Manuel Imbamba highlighted the initiative of the project and appealed for other organisations to follow the example Catoca.

The act was witnessed by local officials, religious executive and students.
