Ethiopia: Airlines to Host Major International Conference

Ethiopian Airlines will host the African Aviation's 22nd Annual Maintenance, Repair and Operation (MRO) conference and exhibition in Addis Abeba, from 25 to 27 February 2013. Over 250 participants from all over the world, including airlines and aircraft manufacturers are expected to attend the international conference.

Ethiopian MRO, which is certified by the United States Federal Aviation Administration and the European Aviation Safety Agency, provides services on Boeing fleets for many airlines in Africa and elsewhere.

The key objectives of this year's conference and exhibition will be developing centres of excellence in aircraft MRO within Africa, fostering closer technical co-operation between African airlines, and promoting mutually beneficial relationships with aircraft and engine manufacturers, aircraft lessors, MRO service providers and industry suppliers, according to a press release issued by Ethiopian.
