A man who escaped after being jailed for three years for being in possession of seven rolls of bhang has been rearrested.
29-year-old Peter Muriithi appeared before senior principal magistrate Paul Biwott and was sentenced to an additional one year for escaping from the Embu courts on December 21.
Muriithi pleaded for pardon saying he is HIV positive and had taken anti-retrovirus medicine that made him oversleep and be left at the cells by court orderlies.
