Kenya: Blow for City As Three Players Are Sidelined

Nairobi City Stars will miss the services of Joel Ssebuliba, Oscar Mbugua and Simon Ogutu who are out with injuries during their opening Kenya Premier League match against hosts Muhoroni Youth.

Ugandan defender Joel Ssebuliba is nursing a groin injury while Oscar Mbugua and Simon Ogutu are both down with typhoid. The head coach Bye Wadda revealed that the three are not in his plans for the opener at Muhoroni. "Everyone is fine except for Joel, Oscar and Ogutu. Joel has a niggling groin injury while Oscar and Ogutu are down with typhoid. At the moment, I can confirm that we will not be able to use them on Sunday but we are looking forward to their return in the second game," Wadda said.

City Stars will also miss the services of newly signed winger George 'Blackberry' Odhiambo who is away in Armenia for trials.
