Angola Requested to Help South Korean Candidacy for WTO Board

Seoul — The Government of South Korea has asked Angolan to support the country's candidacy of Korean TaehoBark for the post of director general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) for the 2013-2017 period.

This request was formally made in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of South Korea to the Angolan extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to that Asian country, Albino Malungo.

The WTO electoral process will be held in Geneva (Switzerland) during its general council session which will take place from 31 March to 31 May 2013.

TaehoBark is the current minister of Trade and chairman of the South Korean Trade Commission, as well as co-chairperson of the South Korea/Angola Joint Commission.
