Eritrea: Various Development Accomplishments Registered in Hagaz Sub-Zone

Hagaz — The Administration of Hagaz sub-zone indicated that various development accomplishments have been registered in the locality.

Mr. Idris Mohammed Hamd, Administrator of the sub-zone, explained that a total of 358 Km. terraces and more than 104 cubic meters of water catchment walls have been built through popular undertakings, besides the renovation of a 69 Km-long dirt road and construction of water diversion canals. He further disclosed that 1 Km-long water pipe was installed on the basis of a campaign which involved students.

Moreover, new secondary school was constructed, Inland Revenue branch office opened and public telephones put in place, thus improving the scope of social service. And there exists commendable potable water supply in the locality, he added.

The Administration pointed out that it has been exerting joint endeavors pertaining to conservation of wood enclosures, and called on farmers to enhance efforts towards securing animal feed.
