By Stanley Njenga, 23 February 2013
A class one pupil who went missing on Wednesday was found dead in a banana plantation. Faith Wairimu Njuguna, 6, who was a pupil at Gathaithi Primary School, did not return home after she left school at around 3pm.
Martha Wangari in Kiambu said she was digging her shamba at Mutuya village in Ikinu when she noticed a heap of soil. Wangari said she checked on it only to realise it was a body of a young girl whose head was partially covered. Her mother said they had been looking for her since she disappeared.
