Kenya: KFS, Kefri Get Sh1 Billion Boost

The Japanese government has donated equipment worth Sh1 billion to Kenya Forest Service and Kenya Forestry Research Institute. The grant is aimed at supporting the organisations' activities.

The two departments received graders, transport lorries, wheeled loaders, crawler excavators, pick-up trucks, light vehicles and motorcycles.

The eqiupment was presented by the Japan ambassador Toshihisa Takata yesterday at KFS headquarters at Karura forest. Forestry minister Noah Wekesa witnessed the occasion.
