Tunisia: 'BG Confident in Investment Climate in Tunisia', Says Chris Finlayson

Carthage — Caretaker President of the Republic Moncef Marzouki met on Friday in Carthage with Chris Finlayson, British Gas (BG) Chief Executive Officer for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

In a statement at the end of the talk, BG CEO stressed his company's "trust" in the investment climate in Tunisia, voicing will to boost its presence in the country "although it is the first foreign investor in Tunisia."

"The short-term social difficulties will end when the country achieves its transition process," BG CEO added in a statement released by the Presidency of the Republic.

Operating in Tunisia for more than 15 years, British Gas is the key operator on the gas market in the country and provides more than 50% of the national demand.
