Egyptian, Palestinian Scholars Stress Need to Act to Rescue Al Quds, Aqsa Mosque

In a conference that was held in the Palestinian city of Gaza on Friday 22/2/2013, Egyptian and Palestinian scholars stressed the need to take an urgent action to rescue Al Quds and Al-Aqsa mosque from the Israeli plans to judaize the holy city and force its Palestinian inhabitants to leave it.

Head of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Egypt Dr. Salah Sultan said that Gaza presented an iconic example of resistance during Israel's last year offensive on the strip.

"Al Quds city and Al Aqsa mosque are facing increasing threats due to the systematic digging under the mosque by the Israeli occupation forces", Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in Gaza strip Dr. Ismail Radwan told the conferees.

Radwan affirmed the need to use the energies of the nation's scholars to rescue Al Quds stressing that need to achieve unity and relinquish division.
