During his visit to Russia for participation in the Arab-Russian forum along with a ministerial Arab delegation, Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr said to "Al Hayat" newspaper on Friday 22/02/2013 that Egypt will not establish relations with any party at the expense of the security of the Gulf.
The Minister noted that Cairo has fixed determinants in relations and it is committed to non-interference in the internal affairs of any country or engaging in any religious activities in other countries. He added that the security of the Gulf is one of the priorities of the Egyptian policy.
Minister Amr made clear that Cairo will not establish relations with any party at the expense of the security of the Gulf, and will not allow any party to tamper with the security of the Gulf.
On the Syrian level, the Minister stressed that the political solution is the only way for of the situation in Syria to avoid a major disaster there, stressing his country's opposition to a military solution.
Amr said that the Russians, during the dialogue sessions, stressed adherence to their clear position towards the Palestinian issue, which rejects the Israeli settlement activity.
