Nigeria: 'Jonathan, Sambo Have Right to Seek Another Term'

A group under the auspices of Jonathan /Sambo Solidarity Forum Home and Abroad (JSSFHA) has appealed to Nigerians to disregard claims of one term pact between President Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) Governors in 2011 by Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu.

A statement issued in Abuja and jointly signed by the National President and Secretary of the group, Franklin Ekong and Mr. Idoko Hilary Nduka urged Nigerians to support Jonathan and Alhaji Namadi Sambo to contest the 2015 presidential election.

JSSFAH, in the statement, said it is the constitutional right of both individuals to seek another term in office if they deem it necessary, urging President Jonathan to go for a second term in office as President.

"We want to call on Nigerians to join hand with this God- given leader to transform Nigeria rather than trying to engage Mr President in uninteresting, wasteful arguments that are uncalled for."
