Rwanda: League Champions APR Sign Two More Players

APR Volleyball Club has signed two players, including U-20 international Bonnie Mutabazi, and Adolphe Mutoni from National University of Rwanda, ahead of the new season.

The league is scheduled to kick off on February 20. Team coach Sammy Mutemi Mulinge confirmed the development on Friday, saying; "Everything has been sorted out with Adolphe and Bonnie; they are now our players."

They follow other signings Barrack Rugira from Groupe Scolaire St Joseph, Yves Mutabazi from Groupe Scolaire de Butare and Fabrice Nkezabahizi from Nyanza.

The league and Carre d'As Cup champions had already signed two U-20 players Fred Musoni and Aimable Mutuyimana.

"I am happy to have them because they are good players and will help us do well in the upcoming season," said the former Kenyan international player.

The young players will learn from the more experienced players like right attacker Athanase Bigirimana, Bosco Mutabazi, Eric Muhirwa and Alexis Ntakirutimana Debande.

Bonnie Mutabazi is the younger brother of former national team setter Elie Mutabazi. He was part of 2010 Rwanda's junior team that secured fourth place at the Africa Junior Volleyball championship.
