Kenya: Boy Needs Help to Join Form One

A 15-year-old boy from Teso South District may not join form one owing to lack of school fees.Givinalis Isoka scored 360 marks at Apokor Primary school and was admitted at Kolanya Boys High Scool.

Isoka said the fees structure is Sh24,000 per year excluding other requirements was beyond his parents means and wondered where he will go for help.

A tearful Isoka said other students reported to school on February 18 but he was still languishing at home. " My father is a peasant farmer while my mother is a housewife.

I am appealing to well wishers to come to my rescue and help me fulfill my dreams of becoming a lawyer," he said. Isoka said he tried a scholarship with Equity Bank but without success, thus his passionate appeal for help. " I may opt to sell one of my kidneys to help me raise the fees if all avenues will fail to materialize," he said.
