Nigeria: Experts Hold Investment Summit

As part of efforts to ensure that investors take advantage of the emerging opportunities in the stock market, investment analysts have concluded plans to hold an investment summit.

To this end, a statement from Investdata Consulting Limited said the investment summit tagged: "Get the key to higher returns in a transforming market," would hold in Lagos on March 2.

Highlights of the event would include market prospects in 2013 which is expected to give an industry by industry analysis; strategies to dominate the market and how to pick good stocks in the transforming market; amongst others.

There will also be insights into portfolio selection guide for retirement and at retirement; besides hints about investing with the dates to create cash flow through dividend income and capital growth, it added.

Speakers at the summit would include Managing Director, APT Securities & Funds Limited, Alhaji Garba Kurfi; Managing Director, Stockwatch Group, Mr. Abayomi Obabolujo; Head, Capital Market at TRW Stockbrokers Limited, Mr. Abdul-Rasheed Momoh, amongst others.

Speaking on other expectations from the summit, Chief Research Officer, Investdata Consult Limited, Mr. Ambrose Omorodion, said: "As the earnings season begins in earnest from the last week of February, investors need to know how to position with date for profit, how to identify overvalued stocks on the exchange and the next bullish industry/stock."
