Nigeria: Kogi Assembly Boils As Wada Returns to Lokoja

THE Kogi State House of Assembly is set to boil again, as a group within the assembly has concluded arrangements to impeach the speaker, Rt. Hon. Jimoh

Lawal, accusing him gross incompetence, high handedness and inability to communicate with his colleagues.

It appears that the current leadership tussle in the assembly would be one of the major issues confronting the returnee governor, who is coming back to the state on Tuesday, after almost two months medical absence.

The group, spearheaded by some of the principal officers in the house, are believed to have led a powerful delegation to the convalescing Governor, Idris Wada, last week, in Abuja, to brief him on the need for a change in the leadership of the assembly.
