Nigeria: PDP BoT - Anti-Obasanjo's Elements Weeded Out

Barring any last minutes changes, the Prof. Jerry Gana committee that was mandated on January 8 this year to restructure the membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustee (BoT) will submit its report, thus eliminating those described as 'anti-Olusegun Obasanjo' members of the Board.

Also, it was gathered that the committee adopted a formula that any member of the Board that has defected to other parties between 1999 to date should automatically be said to have lost his or her privilege status of being a member of the PDP BoT.

According to an inside source, three strategic members of the Board are said to be affected by this new rule adopted by Gana's committee.
